Job Responsibilities

• Design Customized Treatment Plans: Assess patients' needs and craft personalized therapy strategies to help them achieve their functional goals.
• Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Use evidence-based practices to support patients in enhancing their motor abilities, cognitive functions, and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, healthcare providers, and nurses to deliver comprehensive, patient-centric care.
• Educate Patients and Their Families: Provide guidance to patients and their caregivers on therapeutic techniques that facilitate ongoing progress outside of the clinical environment.
• Track Progress and Adapt Treatment: Monitor clinical outcomes and modify treatment strategies as needed to ensure patients remain on their path to recovery.

Education Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
• Continuing education and advanced certifications are encouraged and supported

Certifications

• Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
• NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is mandatory
