Business Development Consultant (BDC) – Automotive Experienced Automotive Business Development Consultant (BDC) Northwest Hills Chevrolet GMC Cadillac — Torrington, CT We’re Looking for a Proven Automotive BDC Performer Northwest Hills Chevrolet GMC Cadillac is growing our Business Development team and looking for an experienced Automotive Business Development Consultant who knows how to turn internet and phone leads into appointments, showroom traffic, and sold customers. This is not an entry-level call-center position. We are looking for someone who understands automotive customers, knows how to work a CRM, and has the persistence and communication skills necessary to manage a high-volume lead pipeline. If you’ve consistently performed at a high level in an automotive BDC and are ready to join a dealership that values results, professionalism, and teamwork, we want to hear from you. What You’ll Be Doing * Manage and follow up with approximately 300+ leads per month * Respond quickly and professionally to internet, phone, and other customer inquiries * Make outbound calls, send texts, and communicate through email to engage prospective customers * Set quality appointments that result in showroom visits and vehicle sales * Follow up consistently with unsold prospects, missed appointments, and previous customers * Maintain accurate notes, tasks, and customer information in the CRM * Work closely with Sales Management and the Sales Team to maximize every opportunity * Use proven phone and communication skills to overcome objections and move customers forward * Deliver an exceptional customer experience from the first interaction through the appointment * Meet and exceed monthly appointment, contact, show, and sales-related performance goals What We’re Looking For Our ideal candidate has: * 3–5+ years of automotive experience, preferably in a BDC, internet sales, or automotive sales environment * A proven track record of handling a high-volume lead pipeline * Experience managing approximately 300 leads per month or more * Exceptional phone skills and the confidence to have meaningful conversations with customers * Strong follow-up habits and an ability to stay organized * Experience working with automotive CRM systems * A competitive, goal-oriented mindset * The ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment * Professional communication skills and a customer-first attitude * A strong sense of urgency — you understand that speed-to-lead matters * The ability to work in a fast-paced dealership environment The Right Person Will Be Persistent without being pushy.
