Job Summary
A Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) is sought for a clinical opportunity in a short-term acute care facility. The role involves float assignments between units such as labor, postpartum, and high-risk antepartum, providing specialized maternal and neonatal care. The position offers 12-hour day and night shifts with on-call responsibilities, requiring flexibility and the ability to respond to acute patient needs in a busy environment.

Job Details

• Location: The assignment is at a healthcare organization serving women of childbearing years and newborns, with a daily patient census of approximately 8, across a facility with 43 beds and 43 rooms.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, start times at either 3 am and 3 pm or 11 am and 11 pm, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Certifications/Education: Valid state license (compact license accepted), AWHONN Intermediate certification, BLS, and NRP are required.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in labor and delivery, charting with Epic system is required.
• Responsibilities include management of high-risk deliveries, fetal monitoring, postpartum care, sterile procedures, neonatal resuscitation, and patient assessments. Experience with functions like administering blood products, intrauterine procedures, and obstetric emergencies is necessary.
• Additional details: Travel may be required across multiple facilities, with float rotation to units including labor, mother-baby, and antepartum. Compensation for floating to certain facilities includes incentives and hotel accommodations when applicable. Candidates must have their own vehicle for the assignment.
• Requirements include responding to specific questions about prior experience with Providence facilities and providing two recent references. Candidates must be flexible to work holidays and adhere to scheduling and RTO policies.
