About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to spearhead its financial strategy and operations within the residential real estate development sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of financial activities, including financial planning, capital strategy, accounting, reporting, and risk management. This executive will play a pivotal role in evaluating development opportunities, structuring financing, and managing capital relationships to ensure the organization's financial infrastructure supports its growth. The CFO will also lead the finance function, providing strategic and hands-on leadership, and will be a key advisor to the executive team, directly influencing the company's financial and investment decisions. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred. A minimum of 10 years' progressive financial leadership experience, particularly within residential real estate development or a closely related environment, is required. The role demands a professional with a strong technical accounting foundation, advanced financial modeling skills, and a proven track record in debt financing, refinancing, and lender negotiations. The ideal candidate will have experience with real estate accounting or ERP systems, a deep understanding of project-level financial performance, and a strategic, hands-on approach to financial management. The CFO will also be tasked with leading a team, so experience in team leadership and development is essential.
