About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for one of its hospitals. The CFO will be responsible for leading and directing all financial activities, including the development and management of local financial policies, practices, and activities. This executive role involves overseeing the maintenance of financial records and procedures to protect the organization's assets, as well as participating in strategic planning that aligns with the organization's objectives and financial business plan. The CFO will also be a key member of the Hospital Senior Leadership Team, providing financial leadership, and ensuring compliance with financial regulatory and compliance standards. Candidates for the CFO position must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with a Master's degree or CPA required. A minimum of 5-8 years of related work experience, including supervisory and management experience, is also necessary. The role demands a professional with advanced technical computer skills, the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, and a proven track record in financial leadership, preferably in a complex teaching hospital setting. The CFO will be expected to establish and manage operational and capital budgets, provide financial expertise in planning new services, and act as the finance lead in contract negotiations. Collaboration with senior leaders to implement performance improvement initiatives and manage costs is a key aspect of the role.
