Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to evaluate the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms, including depression and anxiety.

• Develop personalized treatment plans collaboratively with clients that align with their unique goals and therapeutic needs.

• Implement evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate healing and self-discovery.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders and available treatment options, promoting understanding and active involvement in the therapeutic process.

• Monitor client progress over time, adjusting treatment plans and therapeutic approaches when necessary to ensure effective outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care and comprehensive mental health support.

• Stay informed on current research and methodologies related to mood disorders to enhance intervention strategies and therapeutic effectiveness.

The LMFT at Saint Mary's will primarily work with individuals grappling with mood disorders, such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our diverse client population includes adolescents, adults, and families from various backgrounds, some of whom may be experiencing poverty, homelessness, or the effects of domestic abuse.
