Project Coordinator III

Randstad is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator for our global biopharmaceutical client in North Chicago, IL.

As a Senior Project Coordinator, you will lead high-impact operational and continuous improvement projects from start to finish. Working directly with global leaders, you will manage project budgets, optimize processes, and partner across cross-functional teams to keep initiatives on track and within compliance.

• Type: 18-Month Contract (Opportunity for extension)
• Pay Rate: $38.50 – $39.00 / hour
• Location: North Chicago, IL 60064 (Hybrid: 3 days on-site per week)

Qualifications

• 6+ years of project management experience in a corporate setting (or a Bachelor’s degree plus 4+ years of multi-functional experience).
• Inventory Management & Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading complex projects across cross-functional teams.
• Advanced MS Excel Skills: Hands-on experience with Pivot Tables, Slicers, Dashboards, and VLOOKUPs.
• Problem-Solving & Communication: strong ability to resolve issues independently and collaborate effectively with all levels of management.

Preferred

• Background in Supply Chain or Operations (highly preferred).
• Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries.
• Familiarity with project tools like MS Project, Smartsheet, or SAP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead Key Projects: Drive complex, multi-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives that improve business operations and efficiency.
• Manage Project Finances: Track, monitor, and oversee project and program budgets with minimal supervision to ensure financial compliance.
• Coordinate Resources & Data: Partner with internal and external teams to secure resources, track project metrics, and deliver accurate reporting on project health.
• Guide Stakeholders: Build strong relationships across all levels of leadership, managing expectations and proactively solving issues as they arise.
• Mentor Peers: Serve as a trusted resource and role model to assist with onboarding and training new team members.
