Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for a Dynamic RN in Med Surg / Ortho!

Job Description:


- Shift: 12-hour nights (0630-1830, 1830-0630)
- Location: Radius Rule - 50 miles; Remote candidates only
- Contract Length: 13 weeks with the potential for extension
- Average Daily Census: 6 patients on a 22-bed unit
- Patient Ratios: 1 RN for every 5-6 patients
- Common Diagnoses:
- Total knee, hip, ankle, and shoulder replacements
- Spinal surgeries (back and neck)
- Team Structure:
- Charge Nurse present on each shift; actively participates in patient assignments
- 1 Patient Care Tech for every 13 patients
- Telemetry Support: Tele techs read and interpret monitor strips
- Orientation:
- 1-day unit-specific training
- Open book exam on skills learned, requiring a minimum of 90% to pass
- Required Certifications: BLS
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Rotate with permanent staff
- Floating Requirements: Med Surg, rehab, or PCU (with Med Surg acuity)
- Additional Notes:
- Ideal candidates are team-oriented with a willingness to learn and adapt
- Self-scheduling available with cyclic rotation
- RTO upfront (7 days or less)
