Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RN for a MedSurg/Tele assignment in a high-acuity Level 1 Trauma Hospital. The ideal candidate will have experience with patients suffering from acute or chronic diseases and post-op surgeries within a medical-surgical setting.

Assignment Details

• Shift Details: 5x8 Days
• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2100 (negotiable)
• Charting System: EPIC

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assessment in a med-surg setting
• Manage cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
• Perform wound care and post-op monitoring
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
• Engage in discharge planning and patient education management

Qualifications

Required:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• BCR (Basic Cardiac Rhythm) - must pass EKG competency exam
• 2 years of Med/Tele RN experience
• Skills in trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, glucommander, insulin drips, heparin drips
• Strong clinical assessment and med-surg nursing skills for a Level 1 Trauma Hospital
• IV insertion and care, central line management

Preferred:

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• Medical-Surgical certification
