Technical Sales Engineer

Keys:

• Strong grasp of engineering practices (e.g., DFM, FMEA, GD&T) and the ability to interpret 3D models and technical drawings.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is highly preferred. Industry Experience

POSITION SUMMARY
The Technical Sales Engineer acts as the primary bridge between Client's R&D capabilities and our customers' evolving needs. The core purpose of this role is to proactively contact potential customers to review current R&D products, identify technical pain points, and collaborate with internal teams to drive new product design and innovation that solves customer challenges.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Proactive Technical Outreach: Initiate and maintain contact with potential and existing customers to showcase current R&D product developments and capabilities.
? Customer Needs Analysis: Conduct technical discussions to understand customer-specific requirements, identifying opportunities for new product design or modifications to existing systems.
? Bridge to Engineering: Act as the technical conduit between customers and the internal engineering team; translate customer feedback and technical requirements into actionable design input.
? Commercial & Technical Liaison: Support quotation activities (RFQ) by ensuring technical requirements are clearly understood and accurately reflected in proposals.
? Product Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of client products, including manufacturing processes and material specifications (e.g., ultrasonic welding capabilities, material compatibility).
? Market Intelligence: Perform competitor benchmarking and monitor industry trends to inform R&D strategy and long-term product roadmaps.

Education
? 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent technical field.
