Work Environment\n

This position is predominantly remote, allowing for flexibility while engaging with clients in their homes or in our outpatient office. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions in home and outpatient settings, tailored to meet the unique needs of each child.

• Facilitate interventions focused on anger management, social skills development, and coping strategies that lead to a reduction in high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior or physical aggression.

• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to coordinate therapeutic strategies and care outcomes.

• Document treatment plans, progress notes, and intake forms accurately and within designated timelines, ensuring compliance with administrative requirements.
\n
• Participate actively in monthly meetings, contributing insights and recommendations to enhance service delivery and team cohesion.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist will primarily work with youth ages 3 to 20 who present with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. This population requires tailored therapeutic interventions to enhance decision-making skills and manage behavioral challenges within home environments. As a therapist at Global Life Mental Healthcare, you will play a pivotal role in improving the quality of life for these children and their families, fostering resilience, and promoting positive behavioral change.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field is mandatory.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is required to practice in Massachusetts.
\n
• Availability for 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours from 4 PM to 7 PM, with some weekend flexibility preferred.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience in providing positive behavioral support and interventions.
\n
• Prior work experience with children, especially those with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD), is highly desirable.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle is essential for traveling to client homes.

Compensation and Benefits\n
