Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individualized in-home therapy sessions and lead group therapy initiatives aligned with the needs of children, focusing on fostering emotional and social development.

• Implement specific interventions to aid clients in developing anger management techniques and coping skills aimed at diminishing high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behavior (SIB) or physical aggression.

• Facilitate skill-building sessions to enhance decision-making abilities among youth and caregivers, aiming to reduce in-home behavioral problems through constructive strategies.

• Engage actively with the Child Family Treatment Team and interdisciplinary colleagues, ensuring seamless communication to provide holistic support to families.

• Accurately document therapy progress through timely submissions of required documentation such as intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes.

• Participate in monthly team meetings to review client statuses and contribute professional recommendations for continued treatment and support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work closely with a diverse population, primarily comprising children aged 3-20 who experience developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. This includes not only direct therapeutic interactions with these children but also comprehensive support to their caregivers, ensuring a family-centered approach to treatment. Your services will significantly contribute to improving overall quality of life for these families, helping them navigate the complexities associated with their child's development.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits\n
