This individual will be responsible for managing the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing, resolving vendor and payment issues, and supporting month-end accounting activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of serving as a resource to other team members by providing guidance on AP processes and best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess and manage vendor invoices from receipt through payment.Perform invoice coding, review approvals, and ensure compliance with established accounting procedures.Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor inquiries.Reconcile vendor statements and assist with account reconciliations.Support month-end close activities and maintain accurate financial records.Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of payables.Assist with process improvements, system enhancements, and ongoing departmental initiatives.Act as a resource for team members by answering questions and providing support on AP-related processes.QualificationsRecent experience in full-cycle accounts payable.Experience working in a high-volume invoice processing environment.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Solid understanding of accounting principles and account coding.Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.Ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies independently.Strong communication and organizational skills.Experience mentoring, training, or supporting other team members is a plus.Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred but not required.Experience with Sage or similar accounting software is preferred but not required.Job Type & Location: This is a contract to hire position based out of Kansas City, KS.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $27.00/hr.
