Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN

Role Overview The Outpatient RN CAP 1 is an entry-level registered nurse responsible for delivering and coordinating clinically competent care for patients undergoing hemodialysis. This includes assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, as well as delegation of tasks to care staff. The nurse participates in decision‑making, patient education, staff training, and quality improvement activities within the End Stage Kidney Disease team. Key Responsibilities Perform patient data collection and adjust treatment plans accordingly Administer medications and document effectiveness Provide patient and family education on treatment options Assist in emergency responses and ensure laboratory procedures Supervise and mentor care staff as assigned Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited Nursing program with valid state licensure CPR/BLS certification Entry‑level RN with less than 2 years nephrology experience; dialysis experience preferred Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and prolonged standing Work Environment & Supervision Provides direct patient care in a healthcare setting, may involve moving heavy equipment, and exposure to infectious materials. Supervised by experienced RNs or team leaders, with oversight of care staff after training and experience requirements are met. #J-18808-Ljbffr
