Accounting Manager

Location: Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid)

Pay Rate: $42–$50/hour

Duration: 3+ Month Contract (Potential Extension or Permanent Conversion)

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee general ledger accounting, cash reconciliations, and disbursement activities while leading a high-performing accounting team. This role combines hands-on accounting responsibilities with leadership duties and offers the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close activities.
• Oversee general ledger accounting functions.
• Lead cash management operations, including reconciliations and disbursements.
• Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial transactions.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls and compliance processes.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members.
• Support financial reporting and audit activities.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting and reconciliation issues.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Prior leadership or people management experience.
• Strong General Ledger and Month-End Close experience.
• Experience with cash reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
• NetSuite ERP experience required.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume reconciliation environments.
• Background in cash management operations.
• Proven success implementing process improvements.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
