Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Speech-Language Pathologists looking for fulfilling school-based opportunities are encouraged to apply for engaging full-time contract roles for the 2026-2027 school year. These positions serve students near Mocksville, NC, and offer the chance to make a real impact by supporting students’ communication development across both elementary and middle school settings.

The first assignment covers a maternity leave from October to December 2026, splitting time evenly between a middle school and an elementary school. This caseload of approximately 45 includes providing direct therapy to a range of students, including those in self-contained classrooms utilizing communication devices. A subsequent opening begins in January and extends through June 2027, focusing on an elementary caseload of around 55 students. Both roles can be filled by the same SLP, offering seamless experience through the entire school year.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• State licensure for North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain)
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CFY candidates are welcome
• Experience with K-8 students, including those using AAC devices
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
• Develop IEP goals and document student progress
• Serve as a resource for staff on communication strategies and assistive technology
• Support students in both general education and self-contained classrooms
