Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using both standardized tools and hands-on observation.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with both immediate and extended communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy that spans communication, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions.
• Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to ensure cohesive patient care.
• Provide educational resources to patients and their families to support therapeutic progress beyond clinic sessions.
• Participate in inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions on occasion to guarantee a seamless treatment experience.
• Maintain meticulous documentation that complies with state, federal, and agency regulations.
• Stay abreast of the latest best practices through professional development and peer collaboration.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in North Carolina.
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is strongly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be completed within 30 days of joining the team.
