Travel RN – Med Surg / Telemetry (Nights)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Trauma/Ortho/Med-Surg unit with a 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 36-bed floor
• Operate and monitor unit equipment including IV pumps, wound vacs, SCD pumps, Kangaroo pumps, chest tubes, telemetry monitors, PCA pumps, BiPAPs, and epidurals
• Perform wound vac changes, wound care, IV insertions, and insertion of indwelling Foley catheters
• Collaborate with charge nurses, LPNs, PCTs, and unit staff during night shift operations
• Float to designated units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
• Remain available for on-call shifts when census is low

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of Med-Surg experience
• Current ACLS certification (required prior to submission)
• Current BLS certification
• Must reside 50 or more miles from the facility to qualify as a travel placement
• Strong critical thinking skills and demonstrated ability to work as a team player

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Demonstrated prioritization and time management skills in a fast-paced inpatient setting
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Familiarity with trauma, orthopedic, or med-surg patient populations
