Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | 36 or 48 hours per week guarantees available | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned telemetry patients.
• Manage and monitor cardiac drips and treatments; assess for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed therapies.
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assess patient and family learning needs; provide education and identify appropriate resources.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage the clinical situation effectively.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of employment or valid compact license.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a telemetry or related nursing specialty.
• Ability to float to other units when needed.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience caring for patients with MI, CHF, arrhythmias, PVD, and med/surg overflow populations.
• Familiarity with cardiac drip management in a telemetry setting.
