Accounts Receivable/Billing Clerk

We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Receivable/Billing Clerk with one of our construction clients located in the Far East Valley. This is a contract to hire opportunity and requires 5 days in office. Responsibilities: Manage accounts receivable functions, including billing, collections, and account reconciliation. Process accurate and timely invoicing for time and materials projects. Track equipment usage and allocate costs to customer projects. Maintain billing activities across multiple company entities. Resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries. Collaborate with project managers to validate billable labor, materials, and equipment. Utilize QuickBooks Desktop and other accounting systems to support AR processes. Requirements: 5+ years of Accounts Receivable experience, preferably in the construction industry. Experience with time and materials billing. Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Desired Skills and Experience Key Responsibilities Manage all accounts receivable functions for construction projects, ensuring accurate and timely billing and collections. Process billing for time and materials projects, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Track equipment usage and allocate associated costs appropriately to customer projects. Prepare, review, and distribute customer invoices while resolving billing discrepancies and customer inquiries. Maintain billing activities across multiple company entities and business units. Monitor customer accounts to ensure accurate invoicing, timely payments, collections, and account reconciliations. Collaborate with project managers, field operations, and accounting teams to verify billable labor, equipment, materials, and project costs. Generate aging reports and follow up on outstanding receivables to minimize delinquent accounts. Maintain accurate customer records and support month-end close activities related to accounts receivable. Utilize accounting software, including QuickBooks Desktop, to manage AR processes and reporting. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of Accounts Receivable experience, preferably within the construction industry. Strong understanding of time and materials billing and construction accounting practices. Experience managing invoicing across multiple entities or business units. Proficiency with accounting software; QuickBooks Desktop experience preferred. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, project managers, and internal teams. High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
