Machinist

The Manual Machinist plays a critical role in producing high-quality prototype and custom parts by expertly operating manual lathes and related machinery. Working independently, this position requires precise blueprint interpretation, diligent tooling management, and routine machine maintenance to ensure smooth operations and superior product quality. The machinist relies on traditional measuring and inspection tools to uphold strict standards without any travel requirements. Monday - Friday work schedule 8AM - 4:30PM $30-35/hr

• Operate manual lathes to produce prototype and custom parts
• Set up machines and manage tooling requirements for each project
• Interpret blueprints to meet exact specifications
• Maintain machinery and troubleshoot as needed
• Utilize traditional measuring and inspection tools for accuracy

• 5+ years of experience in manual machining
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in blueprint reading
• Skilled in manual lathe operation
• Experienced with precision measurement techniques
• Knowledgeable in machine maintenance

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 30lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
