Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Home Health assignment requiring at least 1 year of home health experience and a valid state license (license required if applicable).

Details

• Home health setting providing care for geriatric patients, including wound care cases
• Minimum 23-24 visits per week required to qualify for a 40-hour guarantee
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• No weekend shifts required
• On-call is discretionary, not required
• May be asked to cover surrounding counties in addition to primary territory
• Uses Kinnser/Wellsky charting system; all charting must be completed on-site and cannot be taken home
• Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate from first patient to last patient (not to or from home)

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of home health experience and 2 years of overall clinical experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current state license required in hand at time of consideration, with no license hits (license required if applicable)
• Current driver's license required
• Must have reliable transportation and insurance
• OASIS experience preferred
• Prior travel experience required
• Proof of current CPR certification required
• Date of birth and professional references required for consideration

• Ideal candidates are patient-care focused, punctual, and self-starters
• Tablet provided for charting; strong documentation skills valued
• Dress code allows any color scrubs with closed-toe shoes
• Free residential parking available
• COVID-19 vaccination required, with declination allowed for religious reasons
• Flu vaccination is optional but declination form required if not receiving it
• Compliance processing may take 2-3 weeks before start of patient care
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration; no additional time off will be accepted after an offer is made
• Contract length ranges from 4-6 months, with less experienced clinicians required to commit to 6 months (non-negotiable)
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
