School Nurse Contract Opportunity

Expect a schedule aligned with the academic year (approximately August 2026 to May 2027), offering 37.5 hours weekly. In-person interviews are strongly emphasized to ensure an ideal fit for this integral position.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current Illinois RN license required
• Prior experience in school nursing or comparable pediatric settings highly preferred
• Knowledge of developing and implementing student health plans, especially within IEP and 504 frameworks
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Confident communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer daily care in the health office, managing student health needs
• Conduct medical reviews and maintain up-to-date records
• Contribute to IEP and 504 meetings, offering expertise on health-related accommodations and recommendations
• Provide emergency care, health education, and promote a safe school environment
• Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations
