Payroll Specialist

As a Payroll Accountant , you'll handle the biweekly payroll process for approximately 225 employees nationwide, ensuring accurate data entry, tax filings, and payroll deductions. You'll also support the accounting team by assisting with accounts payable and other related tasks, providing a versatile contribution during a busy period. Your expertise will help maintain smooth payroll operations and uphold compliance standards.


Payroll Accountant Requirements:

• Prior experience processing multi-state payroll; familiarity with Paycom is preferred
• Exposure to accounting functions, particularly accounts payable
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred, or 5+ years of relevant experience
• Ability to work independently with limited transition time
• Strong attention to accuracy and confidentiality
• Comfortable working onsite 3-4 days per week
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is a plus
• Self-motivated, inquisitive, and eager to ask questions

Payroll Accountant Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage biweekly payroll for employees across various states using Paycom
• Verify payroll data, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Process payroll taxes and manage related filings
• Handle payroll deductions, including HSA and 401(k) contributions
• Prepare reports and reconcile payroll data
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
• Maintain detailed and accurate payroll records
• Support accounts payable and general accounting duties when needed
• Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless payroll and accounting operations
