Area Manager

Area ManagerThe Area Manager is responsible for supporting the strategic direction of the plant in alignment with Dynacraft's vision and business goals. This role leads production operations focused on manufacturing parts supplied to truck plants across North America. The Area Manager will drive operational excellence by improving safety, quality, efficiency, and processes while leading cross-functional collaboration. This role requires a strong leader who is innovative, adaptable, and capable of developing both people and processes to support new technologies and evolving manufacturing needs.Job Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with and continuous improvement of Dynacraft standards, including safety, quality, efficiency, and operational proceduresLead the development and optimization of production cells, including assembly processes, layout, and standardsSupervise and assign work to employees based on production schedules and customer requirementsTrain, coach, and evaluate team members; provide regular feedback and performance reviewsRecommend disciplinary actions when necessary and support employee developmentProvide timely updates to plant leadership on performance metrics and operational changesPromote positive employee relations and engagement within the teamSupport recruiting activities and succession planning effortsParticipate in leadership development and training initiativesBenchmark best practices across PACCAR and external organizationsLead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Six Sigma projectsConduct root cause analysis and support quality auditsComplete assigned projects and special initiatives as requiredRequired Skills:Manufacturing operations leadership experienceStrong knowledge of safety, quality, and production standardsLeadership and team development skillsAbility to analyze processes and drive continuous improvementCross-functional collaboration and communication skillsProblem-solving and root cause analysis capabilityPerformance management and employee relations experienceOperational planning and executionData-driven decision-makingMinimum five (5) years' experience. Education: Bachelor's degree (required). Master's degree (preferred).
