Employment Details Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Responsibilities The Registered Nurse is accountable for the management of patient care during a designated timeframe. Responsibilities include coordination and evaluation of care, teaching and delegation of patient activities to other health care team members via the nursing process and the environment. Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the RN is accountable for direct patient care while in the Interventional Radiology department. This role may participate in procedures for additional diagnostic areas as needed and acts in a consultative capacity with physicians, radiologists and other radiological staff. Responsibilities include: Assess, monitor, and teach patients to maximize positive outcomes and minimize complications. Assist radiologists in invasive and noninvasive procedures (e.g., kyphoplasty, fistulograms, permacaths, biopsies, filter placements, angioplasties, etc.). Prepare patients for procedures, provide education, and administer medications as appropriate for age-specific criteria. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction throughout the visit. Support department operations to maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory standards. Participate in emergency, off-shift, on-call rotations to provide 24/7 coverage including weekends and holidays. Perform duties in alignment with the organization\'s mission, vision, and service excellence standards. Requirements Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required for new hires. Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan. ACLS required within 90 days of hire. BCLS required. Previous Emergency, Interventional, Cardiac Cath lab or CCU experience is preferred. Self-starter and motivated. Excellent communication skills. Organized. Must live within 30 minutes call-back radius to the hospital.
