2027 Future Talent Program - Vaccine Manufacturing Automation Co-op

A 6-month co-operative assignment in vaccine manufacturing automation at Merck's West Point, Pennsylvania facility. The role supports ongoing operations and automation projects under management guidance, offering exposure to Good Manufacturing Practices, equipment maintenance, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Complete automation projects supporting vaccine manufacturing operations
- Use computer simulation to evaluate proposed changes before implementation
- Author new GMP documentation and update existing documentation
- Support daily plant operations including equipment upgrades, maintenance, and validation activities
- Interact with multiple production support groups across technology, quality, planning, and validation
Requirements
- Pursuing degree in Engineering, Business and Engineering, or Computing and Informatics
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Willingness to comply with GMP gowning restrictions and manufacturing protocols
- Previous pharmaceutical industry experience preferred but not required
