Melt OperatorMelt Operator Location: Landisville, PA Type: Contract To Hire Work Model: Onsite – onsite Hours: Weekend Shift: Friday through Sunday 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m Second Shift: Mon-Thur 3pm-1:30am Security Clearance: Not specified in the provided informationResponsibilitiesMelt elements used to produce alloy for the production of rare earth magnets and crush alloy for ball milling and jet milling operations.Adhere to required safety precautions including handling hydrogen, nitrogen, and argon gases, lifting up to 25 lbs.Clean and prepare furnaces and work area to set standards.Accurately weigh material for melt load amount/alloy type and transfer into the furnace.Organize raw materials to ensure correct material lots are used.Identify flaws in coil boxes and crucibles and perform repairs as necessary.Perform required preventative maintenance on equipment.Monitor furnaces for melt accuracy and meet production rates and quality standards.Record data accurately into ERP computer system, manufacturing routers, logs, databases, and control charts.Perform in-process inspections as needed.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent.1-2 years of manufacturing experience.Ability to read and interpret part prints.Basic troubleshooting skills.Action-oriented and independent with a sense of urgency.Creative problem-solving and connection-making skills.High standards of accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.Collaborative team player who supports colleagues effectively.Upholds organizational values and exhibits integrity.Committed to continuous improvement and personal development.Proactive and positive attitude toward achieving goals.Capable of manual dexterity, understanding verbal instructions, and working safely in a production environment.Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs. and working in a well-lit environment with protective footwear and eyewear.System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
