About This Role The Nurse Manager Assistant in the MICU is a professional registered nurse who supports nursing leadership in executing strategic plans and priorities. Highlights Location: Neptune, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Schedule: Full-time, Day shift What You’ll Do Support the execution of the nursing strategic plan and priorities. Participate in unit and hospital decision-making. Provide operational and administrative support to Nurse leadership. Coordinate staffing and support throughput, quality, and safety outcomes. Monitor staff competency and assist in hiring and corrective actions. Assess, plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate nursing practice. Interpret and communicate policies, standards, and procedures. Serve as a role model for professionalism and quality care. Identify cost containment measures within the department. Assume special projects as assigned and perform other duties as needed. Requirements Education: Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire Experience: Minimum 3 years recent nursing experience in respective specialty 5 years of Critical Care nursing experience highly preferred Prior Assistant Manager or Supervisor experience highly preferred Licenses & Certifications: Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license required Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification required ACLS certification required Current CCRN required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire About Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack Meridian Health is a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
