About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a pivotal leadership role in the organization. The CFO will be responsible for leading and developing the finance function, overseeing all accounting, reporting, and financial planning activities, and driving improvements in financial systems, data integrity, and reporting accuracy. This role demands a strategic and hands-on approach, with a focus on managing cash flow, forecasting, and working capital effectively. The successful candidate will also be expected to support commercial decision-making, manage relationships with external stakeholders, and provide leadership during the company's continued growth, including potential system enhancements and operational scaling. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree, with a CPA being ideal but not essential. A proven track record in a CFO or senior finance leadership role within the construction or contracting sector is a must. The role requires strong technical accounting expertise, experience in improving and stabilizing finance functions in high-growth or evolving environments, and the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders. The CFO will be expected to be confident, resilient, and decisive, with a strong systems background, and experience with construction accounting platforms is advantageous. The position is based in Boston and requires the candidate to be comfortable working in a dynamic setting that demands adaptability and ownership.
