The Head Chef is responsible for leading all kitchen and back-of-house operations while delivering a consistent, high-quality culinary experience aligned with Sost’s brand and guest expectations. This role balances hands-on culinary leadership with operational oversight, team development, and financial accountability in a dynamic restaurant and events environment. Salary will depend on experience.
Role description:
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Head Chef based in Washington, DC. The Head Chef is responsible for leading all kitchen and back-of-house operations while upholding Sost’s culinary vision, quality standards, and guest experience. This role balances hands-on culinary execution with strong leadership, operational oversight, and financial accountability.
Qualifications:
At least 4 years experience in upscale dining operation
Demonstrated management ability
Highly effective communicator through various mediums
Experience designing and executing dishes
Excellent time management
The ability to strategic plan and execute on action-planning
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Self-driven and a desire to provide an excellent dining experience
