Facilities Assistant

The City of Aiken Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Department is accepting applications for a regular part-time Facilities Assistant.

Examples of Duties

• Answering phones
• Collecting fees for registrations and rentals
• Preparing and securing the facilities for events
• Assisting customers, participants, and volunteers as needed
• Monitoring league games, tournaments, and special events
• Maintaining and operating equipment
• Working special events and other related duties
• Option to work paid specials

Hours vary - Must be available evenings and weekends (average of 29 hours per week). Special events may require additional scheduled hours. Minimum 4-5 hour shift.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Have a valid driver's license
• Good communication and customer service skills are a must.

Part-time benefits include: Regular part-time employees accrue sick leave at 50% of the full-time rate. They also accrue vacation that will be available for use after six (6) months of employment. Additionally, holidays are paid at 50% of the full-time rate and include the following days:
