Program Assistant

Program AssistantWe are seeking a Program Assistant based in Washington DC. The PA will support our Fulbright program activities, manage the Fulbright Foreign Student Program, and contribute to our social media efforts. As the PA, you will work with a Program Officer to manage students' caseloads and conduct placement activities. You will also assume responsibilities that pertain to and require the assistance of the Fulbright department as a whole. Your responsibilities will include the following:• Assist with the university placement and monitoring of Fulbright students from the Middle East & North Africa• Speak with Fulbright students, AMIDEAST field staff, U.S. colleges & universities, Department of State representatives, and Fulbright Binational Commission staff• Support us by supervising and training the Fulbright program intern(s)• Represent AMIDEAST and the Fulbright program while visiting university representatives and at conferences or seminars• Coordinate university application submissions, track admission decisions, and maintain student files and databases• Help us with coordinating student workshops and orientations, processing and reconciling student payments, as well as enroll and maintain students' health insurance coverage• Perform other tasks as may be requiredQualifications:• Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of experience• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel• Great research skills, strong attention to detail, and organizational skills• Interest in the Middle East & North Africa and/or International EducationKnowledge of Arabic and/or FrenchExperience working with students is a plusBenefits:• Please provide a cover letter, resume and salary requirements.
