Accounts Payable Clerk

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing invoices and maintaining accurate financial records. This role supports the finance team by handling day-to-day accounts payable functions with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Match invoices to purchase orders through Medius (AP ERP system)
• Verify invoice approvals and resolve discrepancies with internal departments
• Maintain vendor files and respond to vendor inquiries
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding issues
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
• Assist with audits by providing documentation as requested

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred)
• 1–3 years of accounts payable or related accounting experience
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Netsuite, Medius)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and customer service skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with high-volume invoice processing
• Knowledge of 3-way matching
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions

• Office-based/Hybrid position with standard business hours
• Occasional overtime during month-end or year-end close

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to carry and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• This position will require sitting for long periods of time, walking, standing, bending, as well as using fine motor skills, such as finger dexterity.
