Compensation: $450,000.00 - $500,000.00
Our organization is in search of a board-certified Thoracic Surgeon to become a part of the Division of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery. This academic faculty role provides the opportunity to establish a diverse clinical practice while contributing to the future development of the division. You will deliver comprehensive thoracic surgical care, engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, and utilize advanced robotic systems, including single-port technology.
This position also offers significant opportunities for teaching residents and thoracic fellows, engaging in scholarly activities, pursuing research interests, and carving out a unique clinical or academic specialty. The new surgeon will join a well-established service with ample institutional support to enhance referrals, strengthen programs, and promote multidisciplinary care.
Opportunity Highlights- Contribute to the growth of an academic thoracic surgery division with the potential to expand to a three-surgeon practice.
- Maintain a diverse practice that includes thoracic oncology, benign thoracic conditions, lung resections, esophageal surgeries, complex procedures, and chest wall reconstruction.
- Engage with a robust robotic surgery program featuring multiple platforms and single-port technology.
- Receive assistance from a dedicated Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner, shared advanced practice providers, residents, fellows, administrative staff, and cancer center nurse navigators.
- Collaborate with teams in Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Gastroenterology, Trauma, Cardiac Surgery, and other multidisciplinary groups.
- Instruct residents and thoracic surgery fellows in both the operating room and clinical settings.
- Participate in scholarly activities, publications, and grant-funded research initiatives.
- Develop referral networks, enhance physician outreach, and increase market share across a regional clinical platform.
- Explore potential leadership roles as the division continues to grow.
