Position: Thoracic Surgeon

Start Date: Immediate

Available Shifts: Two days in the operating room, two clinic days, and one academic/administrative day

Compensation: $450,000 - $500,000 annually

Our organization is in search of a board-certified Thoracic Surgeon to become a part of the Division of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery. This academic faculty role provides the opportunity to establish a diverse clinical practice while contributing to the division's future development. You will deliver comprehensive thoracic surgical care, engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, and utilize advanced robotic technologies, including single-port systems.

• Contribute to the growth of an academic thoracic surgery division, with the potential to expand to a three-surgeon team.
• Manage a diverse practice that includes thoracic oncology, benign thoracic conditions, lung resections, esophageal surgeries, complex procedures, and chest wall reconstructions.
• Engage with a well-established robotic surgery program that features multiple platforms and single-port technology.
• Receive assistance from a dedicated Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner, along with shared advanced practice providers, residents, fellows, administrative staff, and cancer center nurse navigators.
• Collaborate with specialists in Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Gastroenterology, Trauma, and Cardiac Surgery, as well as multidisciplinary teams.
• Educate residents and thoracic surgery fellows in both the operating room and clinical settings.
• Participate in scholarly activities, including publications and grant-funded research initiatives.
• Develop referral networks, enhance physician outreach, and increase market presence across a regional clinical platform.
• Explore potential leadership roles as the division continues to grow.
