Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ED Observation / Step-down unit role requiring compact RN licensure and prior telemetry/step-down experience.

Details

• Works in the ED Observation (step-down/PCU) unit of a hospital
• Step-down/PCU candidates only
• 3x12-hour day shifts, 0700-1930
• Rotating weekends required
• May float to other Tele units, Ortho surgical trauma, and acuity adaptable units (e.g. insulin drip and sepsis patients)
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Epic EMR used

Requirements

• Active RN license, Single State or Compact (CO) required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• ACLS (AHA) certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant specialty experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Certifications must not expire prior to start date
• DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical duties per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Provide health teaching, counseling, and therapeutic treatment
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
• Former Intermountain permanent staff must be separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
