Animal Bite and Dispatch Coordinator
The Animal Bite and Dispatch Coordinator supports the Animal Control Officer Team administratively to ensure the safety of the community and its animals. Works closely with the Communicable Disease team to track Rabies exposure and reporting.
Weekend work is required. The typical starting salary range is starting at $18.52-$22.22 per hour depending upon the candidates qualifications as well as budgetary considerations. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package and a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) policy.
Physical Requirements & Availability: Ability to safely handle, walk, restrain, and transport animals of various sizes and temperaments, including aggressive or injured animals. This includes, but is not limited to, the consistent handling of dogs and cats. May be required to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Minimum Qualifications
Four years' experience in a general office environment preferably within an animal care setting; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Additional Information
A selection committee will evaluate the qualifications of each applicant which will include recentness and appropriateness of the applicant's education and experience, answers to the supplemental questions, results of employment references investigated and any other appropriate information available. The selection committee will admit to the interview only those persons who possess the most job related qualifications and may establish admittance criteria beyond the minimum qualifications stated above. The interview will comprise 100% of the applicant's earned grade. A candidate must earn a qualifying grade of 70 or more on the interview to be eligible for appointment.
