About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate is confident, communicative, and comfortable asking questions when needed, with a solid foundation in bookkeeping principles and hands-on experience with computerized accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform cash sheet reconciliation (balancing a checkbook)
• Process payroll (timecard and commission-only; third-party vendor handles remaining payroll functions)
• Post general ledger activities, including bank and payroll entries
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry across all financial records
• Maintain organized, audit-ready financial documentation

Qualifications

• 2+ years of bookkeeping experience
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency with computerized bookkeeping software (QuickBooks, Odoo, Sage, NetSuite, or similar)
• Strong computer systems proficiency
• Excellent data entry accuracy and attention to detail
• Outgoing, confident personality with strong communication skills
• Comfortable proactively asking questions and flagging discrepancies
