Accounting Manager

Mackie Myers is partnering with a high-growth consumer goods business to hire an Accounting Manager for its US finance team. The business is continuing to scale and is looking for someone who can bring strong technical accounting knowledge, structure, and discipline to a growing finance function. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-moving environment, improving processes, and helping build a finance team that can support the next stage of growth. The Role Supporting month-end and year-end close Preparing and reviewing reconciliations, accruals, journals, and supporting schedules Assisting with financial reporting and management reporting Ensuring accounting processes are accurate, well controlled, and aligned with US GAAP Supporting audit preparation and external reporting requirements Helping improve accounting policies, processes, and internal controls Partnering with finance and wider business teams to improve accuracy and visibility Identifying opportunities to improve systems, reporting, and financial discipline Supporting ad hoc projects as the business continues to grow Candidate Profile 5+ years of accounting experience Big 4 or top‑tier public accounting experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting principles Experience working with complex, fast-growth, or larger corporate environments Strong close, reconciliation, reporting, and controls experience Experience supporting audits or operating in a high‑accountability finance environment Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation standards A proactive, hands‑on approach The confidence to improve processes and challenge where needed Consumer goods, food and beverage, retail, or inventory-based experience would be beneficial #J-18808-Ljbffr Mackie Myers
