Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our well-equipped rehabilitation center in scenic Oyster Bay, a charming area known for its supportive community and picturesque views. The clinic operates Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility required to meet the evolving needs of our patients. You will be working closely with a multidisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, fostering an environment of collaboration and mutual support.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans designed to enhance patients' mobility, strength, and overall functional capabilities.
• Lead patients through therapeutic exercises and modalities, including electrical stimulation and ultrasound, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Educate patients on effective body mechanics and exercise techniques, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
• Monitor progress by documenting improvements in patients' range of motion, strength, and functional performance, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Prepare treatment areas and maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that all necessary equipment is readily accessible.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in developing comprehensive care strategies that best serve the patient population.
• Foster a positive therapeutic relationship with patients, providing consistent emotional support and encouragement throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Uphold ethical standards by maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to all regulations and best practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

Compensation and Benefits
