Licensed Mental Health Therapist - Remote Role for Diverse Communities

Position Overview Silver Lining Therapies is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in a remote capacity from Hialeah, Florida. Work Environment This is a full-time remote position that allows you to conduct therapy sessions from the comfort of your home while being part of a supportive team. Our outpatient office facilitates a collaborative environment, ensuring that clinicians have access to resources, supervision, and peer support. You will be expected to maintain consistent availability for your clients, primarily working Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility to adjust hours as necessary to meet patient needs. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments that respect and understand each patient’s unique cultural and personal experiences. Develop personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to individual patient needs. Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, focusing on enhancing resilience and improving mental health outcomes. Engage in collaborative discussions with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health professionals to coordinate comprehensive and effective treatment strategies. Provide timely crisis intervention services for patients experiencing acute mental health crises. Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment methods, and relevant community resources. Maintain accurate, confidential, and organized electronic health records, adhering to legal and ethical mandates. Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and cultural competency training sessions to continuously improve service delivery. Stay updated on current research and best practices in mental health therapy, particularly those informed by cultural considerations. Patient Population / Client Focus Our practice specializes in serving a diverse patient population, particularly ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrants. You will play a critical role in providing a safe and inclusive space for these communities, understanding their unique challenges, and addressing mental health issues that may arise from cultural contexts. Your work will focus not only on individual mental health challenges but also on enabling clients to navigate broader societal issues that affect their well-being. Qualifications Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida. Strong understanding of mental health disorders and competency in utilizing evidence-based treatment approaches. Demonstrated experience in delivering therapy with a focus on cultural responsiveness and inclusiveness. Capability in crisis intervention, maintaining composure, and providing support in challenging situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a warm rapport with a diverse clientele. Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technological applications. Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and maintaining professional boundaries. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting. Preferred Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mental health counseling role, preferably in an outpatient setting. Familiarity with community resources and organizations that support culturally diverse populations. Experience with telehealth services and online therapy platforms. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
