Position Overview Confidant Care Consultants is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our distinguished team in McKinney, Texas. Work Environment This remote position offers a dynamic work setting where you can connect with clients from various backgrounds and experiences. You will operate within normal business hours, Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a healthy work-life balance. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' symptoms of mood disorders, including severity, frequency, and duration. Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans tailored to meet their unique needs and personal goals. Implement evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), ensuring that interventions are both effective and respectful of client preferences. Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to empower their recovery. Monitor progress meticulously and adjust treatment plans as needed based on ongoing client assessments and feedback. Work closely with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to provide holistic care that addresses both psychological and pharmacological needs. Stay current with research on mood disorders to continually inform treatment practices and optimize client care. Maintain precise and confidential documentation in accordance with legal standards, capturing assessments, treatment progress, and session notes. Participate in team meetings and case consultations to discuss strategies and collaborate on complex cases, enhancing overall team effectiveness. Act as an advocate for your clients, promoting understanding and acceptance of mental health challenges in both clinical and community settings. Patient Population / Client Focus Your role will primarily focus on individuals experiencing a variety of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. You will engage with a diverse clientele, each with unique cultural and social backgrounds, allowing for a richer therapeutic experience. This role plays a crucial part in improving clients’ mental well-being and helping them navigate everyday challenges related to their mental health. Qualifications Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas. Proven proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities for mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT. Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology to effectively collaborate with psychiatrists and other medical professionals. Demonstrated success in achieving positive treatment outcomes in clients dealing with mood disorders. Exceptional communication skills, enabling the establishment of rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Preferred Experience Experience in a community health clinic or outpatient mental health setting. Background in crisis intervention and stabilization techniques. Experience with telehealth platforms and virtual client engagement strategies.
