Key Responsibilities Conduct detailed client assessments, utilizing structured tools and frameworks to gather necessary information. Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, incorporating their goals and preferences. Deliver individual therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based modalities tailored to each client's unique needs, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Regularly monitor and evaluate client progress towards therapeutic goals, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Provide teletherapy services to accommodate clients facing accessibility challenges, ensuring they can receive necessary support without disruption. Maintain accurate client documentation in accordance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements, using established electronic health record systems. Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops, training, and collaboration with other mental health professionals to stay current in the field. Patient Population / Client Focus The clientele served by Deer Oaks Behavioral Health includes individuals from various backgrounds and age groups, each presenting unique mental health challenges. Counselors will work with clients dealing with trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, and behavioral issues among others. Qualifications Must have a current and valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD). A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; a master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach to client interactions. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively. Preferred Experience While we welcome all qualified applicants, candidates with prior experience working in community health settings or with teletherapy platforms will have a distinct advantage. Understanding various therapeutic modalities and being able to apply them in practice will also enhance effectiveness in this role. Compensation and Benefits The compensation for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, dependent on caseload and experience.
