Cable Technician

Description

We are looking for experienced Cable Technicians to support the installation, termination, and testing of structured cabling systems. This role requires hands-on technical expertise and the ability to work independently or lead small teams on-site.

We are seeking motivated and reliable Cable Pullers to support structured cabling installations across enterprise environments. This role is focused on the physical installation of low-voltage cabling infrastructure and requires individuals comfortable working in fast-paced, hands-on environments.

2–5+ years of low-voltage or structured cabling experience

Experience terminating and testing copper and/or fiber cabling

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Strong troubleshooting skills

Experience with industry testing equipment

Preferred Qualifications

BICSI certification (Installer, Technician, etc.)

Experience in healthcare, enterprise, or data center environments

Knowledge of access control, CCTV, or wireless installations (bonus)

Soft Skills

Strong communication and leadership capabilities

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Detail-oriented with a focus on quality

Required Qual for Cable Puller:

0–2+ years of experience in cabling, construction, or similar hands-on environment

Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or lifts

Comfortable in physically demanding environments (ceilings, crawl spaces, etc.)

Strong work ethic and reliability

Basic understanding of tools and job site safety

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Portland, OR.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
