Since 1976, SQPA has been dedicated to improving the lives of children, youth, adults, and families in Southern Queens. The Roy Wilkins SONYC Summer Camp program offers students enriching, club-like experiences that promote academic achievement and leadership skills.


Position: Health Coordinator (Grades K-8 Summer Program)
SQPA is seeking a Health Coordinator for our K-8 summer program. The Health Coordinator will manage student health and safety, administer basic care, respond to health-related incidents, and maintain health records. The ideal candidate is a licensed health professional who enjoys working with children and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This in-person, seasonal position runs from June 29th - August 14th.

Key Responsibilities

• Bachelor's degree in public health, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York (if serving as a nurse).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking and organizational abilities.
• Compassionate, culturally sensitive approach to student care.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, youth-centered environment.
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office.

• Prior experience in school, camp, pediatric, or community health settings preferred.
• Experience with health education, care coordination, or emergency response is a plus.
• CPR/AED Certification (Preferred)
• Wilderness and Remote First Aid certification (Preferred)

• Must be available the full seven weeks of summer camp
• Monday - Friday, 35-40 hours per week
• $25.00/hour
