Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients, including thorough physical examinations, and assess both acute and chronic health conditions.
• Develop individualized care plans that align with evidence-based practices and include recommendations for dietary, activity, and educational interventions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, ensuring accurate and timely assessment to facilitate appropriate treatment decisions.
• Refer patients to relevant healthcare specialists when necessary, coordinating care strategies that encompass a range of services from therapy to counseling.
• Create and oversee in-school management plans for students with health concerns, thus ensuring seamless integration of healthcare into their educational environment.
• Provide health education for patients and their families, emphasizing preventive care and wellness strategies necessary to maintain optimal health.
• Stay updated on the latest pediatric care protocols and participate in ongoing training to enhance skills relevant to the advanced practice of nursing.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice serves a diverse population of children, from infants to young adults, necessitating a versatile approach to care. We address a broad spectrum of health issues, including routine check-ups, vaccination schedules, the management of chronic diseases like asthma and diabetes, and urgent care for acute conditions. Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with an advanced degree in nursing (MSN or DNP).
• Current registered nurse (RN) and nurse practitioner (NP) licensure in the State of Texas.
• At least three years of relevant experience in pediatric healthcare settings.
• Certification from a recognized board, such as the American Nurses Credentialing Center or the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (if applicable).
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships with patients, families, and team members.
• Strong organizational skills and the capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a pediatric primary care setting.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner position offers a competitive salary range of $126,000 to $150,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
