Senior Accountant

Compensation: $85k - $105k + 10% annual bonus + 4 weeks PTO (Plus additional Friday 1x per month) + 401k contribution (9%) Overview Our client, a large and complex organization with significant capital investment activity, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support capital asset accounting, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives. This role offers extensive cross-functional exposure, technical accounting responsibilities, and the opportunity to partner with operational and project management teams. Key Responsibilities Support capital asset accounting and reporting activities from project initiation through asset disposal. Partner with project management and operational teams to ensure accurate accounting and reporting for capital projects. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual capital asset reporting, including variance analysis and financial reporting support. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide financial analysis, reporting, and business support related to capital spending and projects. Assist with the development and enhancement of accounting processes and internal controls to improve efficiency and ensure compliance. Support audit requirements and financial reporting needs related to capital assets and fixed assets. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on accounting operations, reporting, and data quality. Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; MBA preferred. 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting and financial reporting responsibilities. Strong background in capital asset accounting, fixed assets, audit support, and financial reporting. Experience identifying and implementing process improvements. Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Knowledge of IFRS and familiarity with U.S. GAAP. Experience with large ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Utility, infrastructure, construction, engineering, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive industry experience preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr LHH
