Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Team in San Francisco, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. In this unarmed patrol role, you will work as part of a team that reflects Allied Universal values of being agile, reliable, innovative, and always acting with integrity.

- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or local authorities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, transit-adjacent public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and public-facing areas, verify authorized entry where required, and provide directions and assistance while following post orders and location procedures.
- Support crowd management, traffic flow, and/or queue observation during busy periods, public events, and daily operations while reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and unusual activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
