VP/AVP/Senior Director Sales – Aerospace Business (Aircraft OEM Client Partner)

We are seeking an accomplished Aircraft OEM Client Partner and New Business Development leader with strong expertise in Engineering Services to drive growth across a portfolio of Aerospace & Defense (A&D) accounts. This role carries direct responsibility for managing and growing a strategic Aircraft OEM account—one of the organization's largest and most important customers—while also overseeing a small cluster of additional A&D accounts.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience selling engineering and technical services to U.S. Aerospace OEMs, a proven track record of growing large, complex OEM relationships, and the leadership capability to manage a small team supporting adjacent A&D customers.

This role requires a strategic, self-motivated professional with a deep understanding of aircraft OEM organizations, airframe-centric engineering services, and the U.S. aerospace business landscape, along with strong executive presence and an ownership mindset.

What You'll Do

  • Own and grow a strategic Aircraft OEM account with direct accountability for revenue, bookings, pipeline, and long-term account expansion.

  • Serve as the primary Client Partner and executive interface for the Aircraft OEM across engineering, manufacturing, digital, and supply chain organizations.

  • Personally drive new business growth within the Aircraft OEM account while managing a portfolio of Aerospace & Defense accounts.

  • Lead and develop 1–2 direct reports responsible for managing and growing other A&D customers within the portfolio.

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities for engineering and digital services across aircraft programs.

  • Develop and execute a focused account growth strategy for the Aircraft OEM while providing governance and direction for the broader A&D account portfolio.

  • Lead solution-based selling by positioning:

    • Aircraft and systems engineering services (design, analysis, certification, sustaining engineering)

    • Digital engineering, verification & validation, and testing services

    • Manufacturing and production engineering support

  • Position technology-enabled offerings such as PLM, Digital Thread, MES/MOM, and data platforms (experience preferred).

  • Partner closely with engineering, solution architecture, and delivery teams to ensure technical alignment and execution excellence.

  • Prepare and present tailored proposals, manage pricing and commercial negotiations, lead contract discussions, and close high-value, multi-year engagements.

  • Monitor aerospace industry trends, customer priorities, and competitive dynamics within the U.S. A&D market to proactively identify growth opportunities.

What You'll Bring

  • 15+ years of experience in sales, business development, or client partnering within Engineering Services, preferably serving U.S. Aerospace & Defense customers.

  • Proven, hands-on experience selling directly to large Aircraft OEMs (required).

  • Demonstrated success owning and scaling large, complex OEM accounts with direct personal accountability.

  • Experience managing a small team or portfolio of accounts in addition to individual sales responsibility.

  • Strong understanding of aerospace engineering value chains and global delivery models.

  • Ability to translate engineering, digital, and platform-based capabilities into clear business and program outcomes.

  • Excellent executive communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).

  • Ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively across global, cross-functional teams.

  • Must be based in Seattle or the Pacific Northwest, with willingness to travel as required.

Must Have's
  • ​​​​​​Min 10 years experience of Engineering Services (ER&D) Sales in Aerospace/Defence Domain Experience is a must
  • Driving large deals in excess of $20 million and deep networks in Aerospace companies.
  • Should be in a leadership role currently(Director and above) having Networks of CXO’s - Exhibit deep networks & relationships in this industry
